VPN needs quiz
Answer five questions. We tell you whether the job is Level 1 network privacy, Level 2 login security, a mesh of your own devices, or a built-in proxy like Private Relay. This is not a “best VPN 2026” ranking and it does not invent a coupon.

Where do you most need privacy?

Level 1

Affiliate disclosure: if we show NordVPN, we may earn a commission. Run a leak test before you buy. A VPN does not replace 2FA.
Why a quiz instead of a ranking table
- Consumer VPNs, mesh overlays, and OS privacy features solve different jobs.
- Privacy suites mix password managers with VPNs — that is two levels, not one product.
- Emerging features (post-quantum, decentralized nodes) are optional L1 upgrades, not a reason to skip diagnostics.
FAQ
Is this a NordVPN plan finder?
No. It maps your job to Level 1 (network) vs Level 2 (logins). A disclosed NordVPN link appears only if Level 1 is actually the job — for example public Wi‑Fi or ISP-visible traffic.
Can iCloud Private Relay replace a VPN?
Only for some Safari/DNS privacy on Apple devices. It does not cover all apps, all devices, or Level 2 logins. The quiz will say so if that is your situation.
Does post-quantum encryption change whether I need a VPN today?
Not for most people. Post-quantum VPN modes future-proof stored traffic against later decryption. They do not replace a leak test or 2FA.
